SACRED SPACE FOR OUR CHILDREN

Every Kid has a Gift to Share
Sacred Kids Circle is a mind-body-sprit program for kids of all ages  to discover the benefits of yoga and share in the experience of healthy and loving self-expression.  We believe that  children today are more conscious, intuitive, and sensitive than ever before and require a sanctuary where their young bodies and spirits can be nurtured, supported, and fully empowered.

Created by two moms who both practice, teach and LOVE yoga, Sacred Kids encourages children to take ideas from their heart and put them into “movement” and expression through yoga postures, free-form dance, imaginative play, and music.  Each Circle is age-specific and incorporate themes that are relevant to what our kids our feeling and experiencing in their daily living.  Every class includes storytelling, group sharing, physical movement and meditation to enhance the yoga experience. Ultimately, our intention is to offer kids “sacred space”...a place where they can explore yoga in a fun and safe way to connect to their unique spirit and express themselves fully!

FAQ

What does my child need to bring? A yoga mat, water bottle (we have filtered water on the premises) and comfortable, non-restrictive clothing.

Do you have yoga mats on the premises? Yes, however we encourage our kids to have their own mats. It creates a sense of responsibility and commitment to their yoga.

Can Parents Attend Classes? To ensure that your sacred kid has a safe and empowered experience, they will need your help. This means being a witness without interference. We ask that if you choose to stay for class, that you accept the role of observer and allow your child to have their own experience. We understand that this can be difficult sometimes; however, it will empower children to express themselves in their own unique way. We trust and expect that you will help us maintain this healthy boundary.

What if my child is more mature and wants to attend an older age group circle? We suggest you stick to the age appropriate circles, as the material and style of the classes are geared specifically for the range of ages that are represented. At the same time,  we realize that every child is unique and some may be prepared to participate with an older age group.  Our intention is for our kids to receive the best experience possible and we are committed to being flexible with the age boundaries.

We recommend you begin at the age appropriate group and allow both the teacher and child to explore their experience together.  Based on their collaborative feedback, we can make a change to a different age group if necessary.

Why I Love Teaching Our Kids

Meet Our Mascot, Daphne!

Daphne is the Sacred Kids Mascot.
Daphne entered our dreams one night when Kim and Mindy were trying to choose an animal to help us grow our Sacred Kids Circle.

Did you know that Dolphins are master healers and keepers of the light upon Planet Earth? They are highly evolved omni-dimensional beings who live in the Oneness. Their role is similar to that of the angelic kingdom. They are here to watch over us, to help us and support us, and to guide us on our remembrance to radiant wholeness. Their love for humanity is profound.

Daphne is here to help us learn:
* Greater self-love and self-acceptance
* Increased self-responsibility-to stand on our own two feet
* To play
* To dance and move with grace, fun and ease
* To breathe really deep
* To be as creative as we can be
* To discover freedom and let go of fear
* To gather, unite and build community
* To be who we really are and stop worrying about our differences
