All Classes are All-Levels:
Whether you're looking to try your first yoga class or you're a seasoned practitioner, our All-Levels classes are for you! Every class at Sacred Space will provide the fundamentals necessary for those looking to start a new yoga practice. Breathing, alignment, meditation and spirituality are a part of every class we offer. For the experienced yogi, our classes also offer more challenging practice variations so you can ramp up the intensity, if that's what you need.
Our philosophy supports a more intuitive yoga practice. A practice where you aren't expected to simply do what the instructor tells you, instead, we give you the options and you decide for yourself when to take yourself deeper and when to back off. Our classes will give you options to do both.
We're bringing people together of all different abilities and backgrounds. Offering everyone a sacred space to practice yoga without expectations. We choose to see one another as teachers and as equals, regardless of yoga experience. Offering students of all levels the opportunity to practice together, we hope to dismantle the idea that we are different from one another. Instead, shifting our focus toward how we are all walking the path of life and yoga together.
All classes are suitable for all levels of students!
Classes at Sacred Space are maintained at a moderate, "island-like" temperature of 75-80 degrees, which we believe is the optimal temperature for a flow-based practice. In every class you will be challenged intelligently and with proper guidance. You will never be forced to do what is impossible for you. We ask that you please honor your body in whatever class you choose.

How Often Should You Practice?
As often as you can! Every day of your life is worth being lived in a clear, joyful, and conscious way. At Sacred Space, we believe that when you devote a part of each day to yourself, not only do you personally reap the benefits, but so do your friends, co-workers, children, spouses, and anyone who comes into contact with you throughout your day. When we are stable, balanced, and stress-free, our lives flow more efficiently and we are better able to handle the changes and challenges that life tosses at us.
Unlike other exercise disciplines, such as running or weight-lifting, your body does not need a day of rest in between classes. In fact, the Surgeon General recommends 60 minutes of exercise every single day to maintain your health. If you want to IMPROVE your health, he recommends 90 minutes. Yoga is a thorough and well-balanced practice that offers both a cardiovascular workout and deep stretching, making it the perfect source of exercise.
We know that not everyone has the time or finances to make it to class every day. No worries-get to class as often as you can and soon you will discover that you want to make time and that in making this time, you will in fact gain time in your day.
The most important thing is to do what you can do and stay consistent!
Here are some guidelines of what you can expect from the frequency of your yoga practice:
1-2 classes weekly:
Modest improvement in flexibility and balance
Modest improvement in breathing
Modest improvement in posture
Decreased anxiety, tension and depression
3-4 Classes weekly
All of the above plus:
Significant increase in strength, flexibility and balance
Stronger immune system
Improved attention, focus, concentration and memory
Improved overall sense of well-being.
5+ Classes weekly
All of the above plus:
Greater endurance and energy
Structural reintegration of your body
Profound enhanced mental clarity and emotional stability
Strong inner awareness
Deep sense of peace and joy

* Class Bundles and Unlimited Passes extensions are not granted for vacation, travel, work or other personal events. Please make conscious purchases.
* Unpaid classes will be charged to your credit card (on file) at the single class (drop-in) rate by 9pm on the day you took class. No exceptions.
* Please Sign In at Front Desk and confirm your bundle status every time you come in to practice PRIOR to entering class.
* Pricing is subject to change without notice. Classes and teachers are subject to change.

~Yoga Teachers in the DC metropolitan area (DC, MD, VA) receive 15% discount on any class bundle or drop-in rate.
~Seniors (65+) and Students (22 years and under)receive 15% discount on any class bundle or drop-in rate valid ID.
~Kids 12 and under (attending an adults class) $15 drop-in rate.
